Privacy policy

For the website mesura-automobil.de. In short: no cookies, no tracking, nothing loaded from other servers. What you send us in the inquiry form or by email is used for your inquiry only.

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as there is no obligation to do so.

2. Visiting the website

The website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit it, the host processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser and operating system. This serves the secure delivery of the website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). STRATO anonymises IP addresses in the logs, keeps visitor logs for no more than 7 days and then deletes them. We have a data processing agreement with STRATO (Art. 28 GDPR).

Language. With every request your browser sends which languages you prefer (the language setting of the browser). If you open the German start page from outside, for example from a search engine or a bookmark, and German is not the first language in that setting, the server redirects you to the English start page /en/. If you switch back to German with the language switch or click within our website, we do not redirect. The language setting is used only for this decision and is not stored, not in a cookie either. This serves to show you the website in a suitable language (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

3. No cookies, no tracking

The website sets no cookies, not even for the language: which version you see depends on the address (English pages start with /en/) and, when you first open the start page, on the language setting of your browser (see 2.). The language switch is a plain link, your choice is not stored in a cookie or anywhere else in your browser. The website uses no analytics or advertising services and loads no fonts, scripts or images from other servers. The links to LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook are plain links: only when you click them do you leave our website, and the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.

4. Inquiry form and email

When you write to us using the inquiry form, the website sends your details (name, company, email address, phone number if given, the areas selected, products and your message) as an email to our mailbox. With the product configurator your answers are added (use, mounting, vehicle, measurement equipment, workstation, finish, quantity) together with the recommendation calculated from them; it is calculated in your browser and nothing is stored. The inquiry is not stored on the web server. The same applies when you email or call us directly.

We process your details to answer your inquiry and to send you a quotation (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, steps prior to entering into a contract). We delete them once the inquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligation applies; quotations and business letters are retained in accordance with German commercial and tax law (6 or 10 years, Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).

Our email mailboxes are also hosted by STRATO (data processing under Art. 28 GDPR).

5. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Simply send us an email. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Rhineland-Palatinate.
